Way FengShui is pleased to present 神来之笔: Strokes of Spontaneity, an abstract solo exhibition by Grand Master Tan Khoon Yong, a renowned fengshui master and an accomplished painter. This is Grand Master’s third solo exhibition, following his last two successful exhibitions in 2016 and 2018.
神来之笔: Strokes of Spontaneity, comes in four sections: 1. 神Shen – Masterful Strokes 2. 来Lai – His Travels, 3. 之Zhi – His Emotions, Thoughts, and Expressions, 4. 笔Bi – Landscape, Mountain-scape, and Singapore’s sceneries.
神Shen – Masterful Strokes: Unconventional strokes: Unlike other artists trained in the art school, Tan started his art training by painting talismans, a technique he learned from his grandfather. He began to develop his strokes by observing other artworks and building his distinctive strokes and concepts.
来Lai – His Travels: Paintings on his travels, irresistible landmarks, and cityscapes.
之Zhi – His Emotions, Thoughts, and Expressions: Based on his travels and life experiences, Tan expresses his thoughts and emotions and incorporates some Feng Shui elements without compromising the painting’s aesthetic quality.
笔Bi —Landscape, Mountainscape, and Singapore’s Sceneries: Mindscape majestic mountains like the Dragon Mountains, Turtle Mountains, and other symbolic mountains, as well as Singapore’s scenery.
