Sing’theatre Academy’s premier adult musical theatre troupe, The Showstoppers is back this June with the award-winning Broadway hit The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This witty, heartwarming musical promises a laugh-a-minute experience – and with the extraordinary duo of Dr Caleb Goh as director and Joanne Ho as musical director, this production is set to hit all the right notes.
Helming the show is Dr Caleb Goh, a New York based director, performer and educator known for his exceptional work across the theatre scene. Joining him is Joanne Ho, one of the country’s top musical directors whose credits include acclaimed productions such as Dear Evan Hansen and Into the Woods. Their combined experience brings an unmatched level of polish, depth, and musicality to the production — a rare opportunity for performers and audiences alike.
Now in its 8th year, The Showstoppers programme is Sing’theatre Academy’s flagship platform for adult performers — providing top-tier training and a chance to perform in a professionally staged musical. Many alumni have gone on to work professionally in the arts, making this a rare and dynamic incubator for emerging talent.
