Jacqueline Ng has been working with clay for almost two decades and has exhibited in group shows in Australia and Singapore. She developed her interest in ceramics after being inspired by her elder brother, Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient, the late Ng Eng Teng. Her training in pottery began with five years of intensive study between 1988 – 1993 under the tutelage of Ng Eng Teng.
She furthered her art education in Australia where she attended Clay-Sculpt, a wood-firing workshop at Gulgong, Australia in 1995 as well as the 8th National Ceramics Conference and the International Ceramic Workshop in Canberra in 1996.
This long awaited solo houses nine carefully selected ceramic sculptures that would feast the viewers’ eyes. This is Jacqueline Ng’s first solo exhibition with One East Asia gallery. A special section of drawings and ceramics by Ng Eng Teng accompanies this exhibition.
