The title speaks to our preoccupation with the sense of time, particularly with the number of hours in a day while working. More often than not, the length of a day is associated with toil and is almost a lamentation. However, for this exhibition, the artists are also looking at how the duration of a day may be the needed stretch for planning and contemplation.
This exhibition features works-in-progress by candidates from the MA Fine Arts programme. Developed through studio practice, experimentation, group discussion and critique, the works represent the diverse interests and approaches of the nine MA candidates, and include painting, drawing, video, performance, photography and installation.
