The Design Constellation is an exhibition celebrating LASALLE’s 40th anniversary with 40 best design projects from the past decade.
The design projects are mapped on a pattern configured on a ‘group of visible stars’. As a sequel to the time capsule project presented in 2014 for LASALLE’s 30th anniversary, the Design Constellation project presents images, sounds, objects, insights, statements, provocations and fragments stored through time to tell a story of the last ten years.
Through significant milestones of design brief, each academic staff member from the Faculty of Design presents a narrative of one student’s project which they have journeyed with from 2014 to 2024. The time capsules represent tangible futures while reflecting on the past, with projects that explore a wide range of cultural, social and environmental themes in a given time and space, inspiring future calls to action for designers.
