The Greatest Treasure in the World, an experiential play by Peggy Ferroa

What happens when you stray into the National Museum’s Treasures of the World exhibition after dark? Well, you’ll meet Afonso, the curious Portuguese sailor who journeyed with Vasco da Gama in 1503. During that fateful trip, Afonso found and drank the Elixir of Life. Since then, he has been on a quest for the greatest treasure in the world. Afonso believes it is found within the exhibition and enlists the help of two Muses and the audience. As the audience joins him on his quest, they meet characters who could have existed thousands of years ago. Join new and veteran actors on this imaginary passage through time, in which the audience is included in the play-making process.

Please note that there is no seating for this performance and the audience is required to be standing or moving for the duration of approximately one hour.
