The Malay World: Travel Routes Through Singapore & Contemporary Art

Both a City and a Nation, proud of its multi-ethnic representation, Singapore cannot deny its Malay roots from an historical point of view. After drawing the outline of the Malay world, the speaker will illustrate some of its cultural aspects on the basis of artworks created by contemporary artists inspired by such an heritage in Singapore.
