As part of the Artist-in-Residence series by LASALLE’s MA Art Therapy Programme, Gráinne T. Young will, through a biographical approach, cover the impact of individual personal journeys on therapists in their self-reflection of their orientation as Art Therapists. She will cover the theoretical concepts involved and how therapists can leverage on their experience to make sense of clients’ images in therapy. How does the Art Therapist’s conscious and unconscious, non-verbal and energetic transmissions influence the client’s image making process? Gráinne T. Young (BA, PG Dip., MA ATh) is presently a course coordinator of the MA Art Therapy programme at Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork, Ireland.
