The Space Between is a solo exhibition featuring Lim Jia Qi (b. 1997), whose practice reflects a poetic engagement with the urban and natural landscapes of Singapore. This latest body of work marks a shift in her visual language, from depicting tangible structures to capturing the fleeting impressions of shadows, light, and atmosphere within the built environment. Using intricately carved woodblock panels layered with painting and print techniques, Jia Qi blurs the boundaries between the natural and the constructed, tradition and innovation, inviting viewers to reconsider how space is felt, not just seen.
