Renowned American pop artist Charles Fazzino returns to Singapore in partnership with BRUNO Gallery Singapore to unveil a new body of work: The Unbelievable Island of Singapore at 60.
Created in honour of Singapore’s 60th birthday, this exclusive series comprises 120 limited-edition 3D decoupage artworks, offering a dazzling, immersive panorama of the nation through Fazzino’s iconic pop art lens. Presented in two variations – 60 “Day Edition” and 60 “Night Edition” pieces – each artwork is hand-assembled, individually numbered, and adorned with Swarovski crystals, capturing Singapore and its natural and architectural wonders.
Celebrated globally for his vibrant, three-dimensional narratives of cityscapes and cultural landmarks, this collection follows the overwhelming success of Fazzino’s sold-out SG50 tribute, The Enchanted Island of Singapore, created in 2015 to celebrate the country’s golden jubilee.
With The Unbelievable Island of Singapore at 60, Fazzino once again blends his signature whimsy and intricate storytelling to reflect the nation’s continued evolution, bridging its rich cultural heritage with its bold, contemporary spirit. “This new work is a celebration of Singapore’s beauty, past and present,” says Charles Fazzino. “I hope it resonates with the same warmth as my 2015 tribute.”
The Day Edition (where the original version has already been acquired by a collector), celebrates Singapore’s lush natural beauty, vibrant streetscapes, and the joyful pulse of daily life. In contrast, the Night Edition highlights the city’s architectural landscape and electrifying nightlife, culminating in a vibrant display of fireworks – a tribute to Singapore’s 60th anniversary.
