Since the end of censorship in 2012 and the take over by a democratically elected governement in 2015, Street Art has been mushrooming in Yangon. This art form very well suits those young artists who are eager to express themselves freely and to drift away from the visual language of traditional Burmese painting. Today, various crews of street artists are quickly transforming the urban landscape.
Thu Myat & Wunna Aung will share about their involvement in the Yangon Urban Art scene and the challenge they are facing.
Refreshment will be served after the talk.
