Theatre State examines how various performing art forms have been shaped and modified through the rise and fall of different rulers throughout Indonesian history from colonial to post-democracy period after the fall of the authoritarian regime in 1998.
Some of the works in this exhibition are produced in collaboration with Indonesian contemporary theatre collective, Teater Garasi.
