Third Text is a journal that represents contemporary artists and critics voices on global contemporary art and culture such as the attempt to define the relationship of artist to empire. On Thu 12 Jan, 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Third Text together with LASALLE College of the Arts will host a series of responses to this exhibition in its local and international contexts. This will take the form of a recorded panel discussion based on papers to published in March 2017 in Third Text. Introduced by Third Text editor, Professor Khadija von Zinnenburg Carroll, there will be contributions from Venka Purushothaman (Vice-President (Academic) & Provost, LASALLE) and Professor Janis Jefferies (Visual Arts, Goldsmiths, University of London); artists including Heri Dono; and the curators of the exhibition, Low Sze Wee and Melinda Susanto on Reframing Artist and Empire.
