Threshold Lives: On Presence Without Recognition is the first solo exhibition in Singapore by internationally renowned Swiss artist Ursula Palla. Known for her poetic, environmentally engaged practice that spans video installation, sculpture, and ephemeral materials, Palla has exhibited widely across Europe. Her works are held in major institutional collections, including Kunsthaus Zürich, Aargauer Kunsthaus, CentrePasquArt Biel, Bündner Kunstmuseum, and numerous Swiss municipal and cantonal art collections. This museum-quality presentation, featuring key works from 2013 to the present, marks an important milestone as it is thoughtfully introduced to the Singapore audience.
The exhibition brings together video installations, sculptures, and ephemeral interventions that reflect on forms of life existing at the edge of visibility. These are fragile presences that persist, quietly and without resolution, even as they remain largely unacknowledged within dominant cultural and ecological systems.
