Night and Rain - a rarely explored theme in traditional chinese ink painting
Chinese ink artist Chen Shi Jin presents 雨天·夜光 Through Rain and Night, offering a rare exploration of moonlit and rainy landscapes in this traditional medium.
We invite you to wander through tropical landscapes bathed in moonlight, rain-washed mountains, and fishing ports alive with lantern light before dawn. Along the way, encounter Rodin’s The Thinker in quiet contemplation on a rainy night.
A pioneer of Singapore Chinese ink painting and a winner of the UOB Painting of the Year award, Mr Chen returns with his first solo exhibition in over two decades, showcasing works developed through years of dedicated practice.
