Touchpoints (2026) is a collaborative installation consisting of a series of sculptural assemblages by Hans Chew and Genevieve Leong, loosely inspired by the bouldering wall.
Through a sequence of alternating decisions, the artists respond to one another’s gestures, mapping pathways of proximity, inter-dependency, and disruption.
As objects pass between hands, their meanings and connotations shift: the objects by each artist are unexpectedly interrupted and used differently by the other, resulting in a series of creature-like forms suspended between resolution and estrangement. The space becomes an amalgamation of non-linear conversations: between the artists and their objects.
