Vanishing Memories – Between Video Art and Cinema, with Chulayarnnon Siriphol, in dialogue with Chun Kai Qun

New Waves: Emerging Voices in Southeast Asian Cinema is a monthly series of dialogues with young filmmakers who are making waves through the archipelago, forming an emerging community within Southeast Asia.

Join Chulayarnnon and Kai Qun as they delve into a dialogue about experimental art of filmmaking, and the personal and political core of Chulayarnnon’s playfully subversive projects. Be treated to Chulayarnnon’s earlier works, including Sleeping Beauty, which capture day and night in a hypnotic exercise; which eventually led to his short film, Vanishing Horizon of the Sea (Special Mention in SGIFF Silver Screen Awards 2014).
