The Straits Times reported in May 2021 that local private museums are struggling to stay afloat even with support from government grants. Indeed, the arts community and society at large continue to face challenges and struggles exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, making the future seem unpredictable and uncertain.
In order to continue to serve the community and art eco-system and promote art appreciation towards a more hopeful future, The Private Museum organizes a Charity Gala to gather funds for securing a new home for the museum.
