Welcome to Worthington’s – a play on the rarefied auction houses where we encourage guests to question the formalities of the art world and the true worth of art. As part of Singapore Art Week 2023, design practice Anak is hosting an art auction unlike any other – one where art imitates not just life but play, free from the etiquettes of the art world, and where fine art is inclusive and never exclusive.
“Art is not just about exclusive parties or black-tie events, or experiences only enjoyed by a privileged few. At this coming SAW, we’re putting on a fine art auction for a worthy cause, where proceeds raised go to those in the art world who are in the most need.” said Juliana Ong, Art Buyer at Anak.
Guests and customers can come explore the value of art together with drag queen auctioneer JoJo Sam Clair, and 36 lots of unexpected art from 18 Asian artists lovingly curated from the Asian Creators Index. Lots will be auctioned in two sessions on 14 January 2023.
Proceeds from the auction go not just to the artists but towards the Anak Book Prize, which supports and encourages less privileged art students to pursue their passiona and develop their creative process.
Anak will host 3 days of viewing for the public to view the displayed art pieces where they can pre-bid, and 1 actual day when the live auction will happen. Viewing and auctions are open to all – walk-ins are welcome, RSVP preferred.

Live Auction: 14 Jan 2023, 3pm to 7pm (Lots 1 to 18 starts at 3pm, Lots 19 to 36 starts at 5pm)
