Prof. Wu Mu Li is a professional artist hired by the Cultural Ministry of the People’s Republic of China. He has travelled widely to Paris, Los Angles, Singapore, and major cities in China for his solo art exhibitions. His passion in Chinese Ink has driven him to pursue perfection in his unique style and composition in this traditional art form. Wu’s keen observation and deep appreciation of the vast nature and culture, enables him to translate his artistic creations with the distinctive strokes of a grand-master. His traditional robust strokes integrated with modern ideas never fail to captivate his viewers with a sense of awe and admiration.
In 1990, Wu received the title of “Outstanding Contribution to Public Art” from the Guang Dong Province. Also in 2000, was recognized by the Cultural Ministry of the People’s Republic of China as “World Outstanding Chinese Artist”. Also described by the New York Times as “Outstanding Painter of China” , by Singapore’s Lian He Zao Bao as “Ship King”. Wu’s publications also find their way to the reading list of universities in China.
