As an artist working across different mediums, Mu employs photography and drawings to materialise the alternatives to a conventional life experience. Xue Mu’s minimalist and monochromatic installations embrace viewers in a space where they are confronted by the large scale of her works demanding attention and contemplation.
Using Rodin’s The Thinker and Michelangelo’s David as starting points, Liquid Truth presents a body of work created through a series of re-photographing, where the familiar image is subjected to distortion and photographed in a repeated process.
