In her latest works from 2023, Yang Yuan Yuan captures the beauty of nature and companionship, evoking a gentle sense of tranquility and joy. These Giclée prints on canvas preserve the vibrancy and detail of the original paintings, ensuring lasting fidelity in colour and brushwork. Complementing the prints are a series of meticulously hand-painted sculptures, crafted by Yang herself. These pieces carry a strong physical presence, their surfaces adorned with expressive flourishes. Inspired by Van Gogh’s iconic sunflowers, some sculptures painted blooms, while others are whimsically dressed in fleece, hats, scarves, and bowties—imbuing each piece with warmth, charm, and personality.
