Among Singapore’s numerous animal welfare organizations, The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (“SPCA”) is probably one of the best known. Its mission is to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals through education, advocacy and action. To this end, it provides services which include their ongoing adoption programs, public education and emergency services for sick, injured and abandoned animals. The charitable organization also operates a clinic for basic treatment and maintains an animal shelter for abused and neglected animals. To provide and maintain these services for the welfare of animals, the organization relies to a large extent on support and funding from the public.
All dogs in their charge get a new and caring lease of life.
This year, Cynthia’s Art Studio is reaching out through an art exhibition in collaboration with SPCA to help raise funds to fully support the work done by SPCA.
Cynthia and her students have been engaged in this project for about a year and have created about 70 pieces of magnificent dog portraits for this charity exhibition. Her students, who are participating in this project, include young children, students, home-makers, working adults, professionals and national servicemen. The youngest student is just 4 years of age and is an animal lover with many pets at home including two adopted dogs.
For the exhibition, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ has been captured in all its beauty in an enormous variety of styles and perspectives. Hours of time and energy have been willingly invested in every single one of the pieces because they at the studio recognize, appreciate and fully support the work done by SPCA.
We invite you to support the artists as well as SPCA by adopting their paintings and donating generously for a good cause to SPCA. We love our animals and we hope you do too. Your contribution will go a long way to help the protection of the rights of animals in Singapore. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these dog paintings will be donated to SPCA. On behalf of Cynthia, her wonderful students and SPCA, we thank you.
