The INCANDESCENT Art Exhibition, presented by Little Artists Art Studio, showcases Volume II of a IV-Part INCANDESCENT Art Series at The Substation from 24th–25th August 2019.
The Substation was founded in 1990 by Cultural Medallion winner, the late Kuo Pao Kun. Little Artists is joining the distinguished history of The Substation by exhibiting 200 specially selected young emerging artists over two days. Showcasing a multitude of mediums, including paintings, sketches, sculptures and digital media artworks, it will be an ode to visual arts.

Incandescent means – brilliant, bright – a glorious title for rising artists displaying brilliance of expression. This series was created to bring a new generation of artist thinkers under 20 into public awareness. Artists explore topics ranging from the environment to the future.
The Substation is a Member Gallery in Singapore Art Week and celebrated by artists and Ambassadors as a place, “where young artists found opportunities and mentors, where inspiration lived”. In this vein Distinguished Artist Guest, Mr. Khairulddin Wahab, has been invited to dazzle the audience with stories of his ascent from aspiring LASALLE Fine Arts student to Singapore phenomenon.

Caleb Tan Yu Zheng
With his first debut solo show, Island Story, running concurrently at the famed UOB Art Gallery, Mr. Wahab, 2018 UOB Painting of the Year Singapore Award Winner, will be on-site to inspire students with his ongoing journey.
