The fifth edition of Art Stage Singapore will take place from 22nd to 25th January 2015 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
With its strong Asian identity and its support of art scenes in the region, Art Stage Singapore cooperates with Asian galleries, artists and collectors to create a distinctive matchmaking and networking platform.
To celebrate the beginning of Singapore’s 50th anniversary, Art Plural Gallery announces the launch of a special initiative during Art Stage 2015. In honour of Singapore, the little red dot, Art Plural Gallery will present 50 limited edition prints of Chinese artist Nan Qi‘s iconic piece, Nan Qi’s Dot, 2011. Each piece will be uniquely signed by the artist, and will be available for sale from Art Plural Gallery from January 2015. Nan Qi’s red dot is the artist’s defining work, capturing his skill and control in traditional Chinese ink painting as well as his fascination with pointillism. The artwork aligns very closely with the statement of SG50 “Celebrating the Little Red Dot”, and encapsulates the unified spirit of Singapore as a country.
