A little teaser image from Pearl Lam Galleries Singapore’s much-anticipated upcoming solo exhibition, “²hide”, by Filipino artist José Santos III in Singapore. This 4 piece epoxy relief, titled Abstract Reasoning, speaks to the core of one of the exhibition’s main concepts: representation and re-presentation of commonplace objects in paintings and installations, how sculptures generate a heightened awareness of how we perceive these things, and how the nature of their objecthood is tempered by our perception.
