More than [show] business is a collaborative project between CCA and Post-Museum. This collaboration is conceived as a platform for exploring different curatorial formats and ways of presenting and distributing art. The Post-PopUp will be hosted within one of the CCA artists’ studios as a site for events, happenings, artistic experiments, hanging out and spontaneity. The programme will unfold in several episodes, bringing together institutional, curatorial and artistic gestures. More than [show] business is a space that could be tested for a future of co-constituted creative spaces and artistic communities in Singapore, looking at institution building in tandem with artistic practice. The project More than [show] business – Post-PopUp at CCA is a collaborative effort between Post-Museum and CCA, led by curators Anca Rujoiu and Vera Mey, with the additional support of the National Arts Council (NAC).More than [show] business: Post-PopUp at CCA is inaugurated on Friday 13 June through a public talk:

Drinks and food will be provided. This event coincides with the extended opening hours of the exhibition ‘No Country: Contemporary Art for South and Southeast Asia’ which has been organised by the Centre for Contemporary Art, Singapore, in collaboration with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, New York, and is a cultural engagement of UBS.  This event is a part of Gillman Barracks Friday Late Nights where all galleries in Gillman Barracks will be open until 10pm on Friday 13 June 2014.

More episodes will follow throughout the upcoming months. More information can be found on CCA’s Facebook page and Gillman Barracks’ website.

Post-Museum started in 2007 as an independent cultural and social space in Singapore, serving as an open platform for examining contemporary life, promoting the arts and connecting people. As of 2011, they moved out of their Rowell Road space into a more nomadic and itinerant structure. Keeping the community spirit, they are aiming to use their time at the CCA as a shared space for the arts, culture and civil society.
