47 Days, Sound-less by Vietnamese artist Nguyễn Trinh Thi is an expanded film where relationships between sound and silence, vision, language and colours (or lack thereof) in film are explored. Drawing from natural landscapes and people appearing as backdrops or filler moments in films, film scores and other music, the audio-visual installation continues the artist’s interest in exploring more-than-human perspectives presented through these peripheries. 47 Days, Sound-less presents an environment where images, sounds and forms of listening propose a rethinking of our encounters with ecological forms.
