
Chen Wen Hsi, Egrets, Undated, Chinese ink and colour on paper, 95 x 87 cm
artcommune inaugurates the opening of its new exhibition space with an expansive display of artworks by some of Singapore’s most eminent first and second-generation artists. On showcase are 30 works of different mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolour, and Chinese ink. This dynamic exhibition features Cheng Soo Pieng’s idyllic scenes of rural life, Chen Wen Hsi’s masterful ink renditions of herons and ducks, Lim Tze Peng’s extraordinary modern calligraphy, Ong Kim Seng’s lyrical watercolour landscapes, Wong Keen’s intriguing abstract compositions, Yeo Hoe Koon’s early abstract landscapes, and Tan Choh Tee’s most recent oil landscapes.
