Committed to redefining the standards of modern luxury and offering insider experiences for guests, InterContinental Singapore, in partnership with Curate International, proudly presents A Joie De Vivre Pop-Up: Christian Develter Salon. Inspired by old-world Salons and celebrating creativity, the contemporary collaboration brings together renowned international artist, Christian Develter, luxury spirit brand Samaroli, and leading London Cigar House, Sautter, London. The programme – which is curated in line with InterContinental Singapore’s commitment to elevate guest experience through bespoke initiatives with international partners – will run from Friday, 24th November to Sunday, 17th December, with exclusive experiences taking place on the inaugural two evenings.
Internationally renowned Christian Develter is recognised for his boundary-pushing approach and radical choice to combine strong colours with bold shapes and use of a mixture of oils and acrylics. The results are deeply compelling pieces that capture the sense of beauty, individual strength and spirit of his protagonists through careful consideration of line, lighting and geometry. Highlights include ‘Pakokku Chin’ (pictured left) from Christian’s iconic Chin Series, inspired by the intricately tattooed Chin women located in the North-Western region of Myanmar, and ‘Pierce’, the latest work from Christian’s Cigar Series, made from Spanish cedar wood finished with up to 15 layers of lacquer.
Christian’s works will be on display at InterContinental Singapore from 24th November to 17th December. Guests can scan QR codes to purchase pieces online during this time.
