Hatch Art Project is excited to announce “A Kind of Blue” a group exhibition that celebrates the beauty, depth, and complexity of the colour blue. The exhibition features nine established and emerging artists, including Chayanich Muangthai, Chloë Manasseh, Didin Jirot, Gunwoo Shin, Iabadiou Piko, Iqi Qoror, Luh’De Gita Rai Julian, and Tawan Wattuya.
The title of the exhibition reflects the varied moods and atmospheres of the works on display, characterized by introspective sensibilities that focus on improvisation and mood rather than complex compositions or organisation. “A Kind of” in the title suggests a unique blend of styles and influences, rather than strictly traditional applications of the colour. The exhibit explores the cultural and historical significance of blue in various contexts, including religion and mythology.
