A Long Way from Home 近觀遠濤 is an exhibition capturing personal and intimate perspectives on the late Chua Ek Kay. The artist is one of Singapore’s most renowned ink painter. Having gained critical acclaim, his works are highly valued in the Asian market and our advisory has been handling the artist’s works regularly.
The exhibition is curated by Wang Zineng. The two dozen paintings to be exhibited – many never previously seen – are on loan from a private collection that has been meticulously collecting representative and outstanding works of Chua Ek Kay. The exhibition is conceived to be a sanctuary of reflection and sharing of Chua Ek Kay’s life and work, by those most intimately aware of his life and passionately studying his works.
