Since its inception in 2004, after2 has been an annual design showcase for students majoring in furniture design to present their second-year work prototypes to the public.
This year, in the spirit of celebrating entrepreneurship, the exhibition will include works of 3D Design students from both the Furniture and Spatial, as well as Object and Jewellery courses. The wide range of designs not only showcases a larger cohort of students, but also reflects the entrepreneurial mindset in students as well as a cohesive connection between the roles of a designer and a maker.
Works produced by students since 2017, including furniture pieces that were designed for living spaces and retail experiences, objects designed based on an understanding of materials and detailing, as well as toys and jewellery pieces that were designed based on a thematic approach, will be exhibited.
