Art Apart Fair 9th edition will open from 7th to 11th January 2017 coinciding with the opening of Singapore Art Week. It will take place at the Pan Pacific Orchard and occupying 3 floors of the hotel premises extending from the Lobby and function rooms on 2nd and 3rd floors to Suites and Penthouse on the 20th floor.
There are 3 main segments comprising of International Artists, Singapore Artists and The Private Collections.
The highlights of the 9th edition will see International artists from Belgium Filip Sterckx showing 3D video art, from Spain we have Alejandro Hermann and Isabel Conde showcasing portrait and semi-abstract art , from Londond, John Blandy with his landscape artworks and from Russia Rinat Voligamsi and Vladimir Kolesnikov revealing contextual art.
Singapore Artist Segment will see the solo show by Ben Puah a self-confesssed artist of “crazy artworks”. Renowned Singpaore Architect Fong Hoo Cheong will create an art installation with found objects at the lobby entrance. Emerging Artist from NAFA and Very Special Art will also be exhibiting their works at the 9th Edition.
The Private Collections will highlight works by mid-career and established artists such as Ai Wei Wei, Jimmy Ong, Chong Siew Ying, Iwan Effendi and May Oon.
Visitors will also be able find artworks from Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Korea and Japan.
