Organised by the National Arts Council (NAC), Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) returns for its ninth edition from 9 to 26 November 2017. With more than 40 arts activities in 17 locations island-wide, there is a myriad of opportunities for everyone to experience the arts through these accessible activities.
Residents and working professionals in the heartlands of Jurong, Ang Mo Kio, Tampines, Chong Pang, Woodlands, Yew Tee, Toa Payoh and Bedok can look forward to rich and immersive arts experiences across music, dance, theatre, literary and visual arts, right in their neighbourhoods. Visitors of all ages can also bond over three weekends of fun and family-friendly arts activities.
With this season’s town focus on Jurong, AYN takes Singaporeans on a journey to the west to gain fresh perspectives of this neighbourhood, which is commonly known for its industrial development. Programmes that draw inspiration from Jurong include commissions such as #seeyoursg, Larger Than Life: The Unspoken Histories of Jurong Neighbourhood, .txt, and The Story-teller.
Admission is free for all activities.
