Video Conference: Co-Optive

The highlight event of Betwixt Festival will be presented at ArtScience Museum as part of ArtScience Late in a two-part performance:

Video Conference: Co-Optive

The performance explores the saturation of data generated from our everyday life, from photos and videos, to texts and bits of information in our multimedia devices. Using live media in response to the theme of interstice, the work aims to reveal the mundane obsessiveness in trying to know all, see all, do all.

The performance features an interactive choreography using trampolines which oscillate between their role as an object, and an action in the piece. The living body becomes an extended operational system, as the artists transform the exhaustive activity of jumping into unexpected virtual representations and digital interactions.
