Chatting is a painting that Ong Kim Seng made in one of many treks he had done to the Himalayas. As a plein air painter, Ong captures his subjects masterfully, stays true to its environment and portrays it for his viewers. Despite the chatter between the two subject, the simple balance between the subjects, the space, and the elements within it: the doorway, the windows and the objects around it, makes this painting a quiet piece, one that is in tune with the magical meditational character of the city of Bhaktapur.
