The 17th edition of Singapore’s largest free alternative music festival, Baybeats, presented by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, returns from 17 to 19 August 2018 with bands from Singapore, Asia and elsewhere. To keep the festival’s offerings fresh and to cater to the evolving tastes of its audiences, this year’s Baybeats will feature two new music experiences.

Firstly, Baybeats and the crew behind the EMONIGHTSG events will collaborate for the first time to present a late-night party at the Esplanade Annexe Studio. Secondly, hip hop and rap lovers can look forward to several performances featuring these genres, which are rarely presented at Baybeats. This year also marks the last time the festival’s Powerhouse Stage—a temporary stage erected specially for Baybeats each year—will be hosting performances at its familiar location along the Esplanade Waterfront.
