Come explore the concept of time, space and elements via an exploratory AR experience. “borrowed earth” by Cheryl Chiw takes you on a journey where she negotiates the ‘form-formless equilibrium’ through textural sculptures, video art and digitised objects projected into AR.
Her works question the ephemeral nature of our existence, using tangible materials as a way to understand and visualise the invisible forces of nature and time.
By stealing moments and invading spaces, the artist attempts to capture ‘states of equilibrium’ that are at once suspended yet subject to change over time. Her metal and rock sculptures evoke familiarity in the unfamiliar through pareidolia and suiseki, allowing visitors to form their own meanings.
