How does found footage from different time periods, when merged and manipulated to create new meanings/contexts, affect the way we might think about the notion of time and its passing as we experience them in our shared present reality?

Join us at our first Film Club event of 2024, where we will be screening Nelson Yeo’s Mary, Mary, So Contrary, and Toh Hun Ping’s Where Do You Think You Will Fit In This Equation Of Mine. This will be followed by a discussion about time, found footage, and more, with both filmmakers as well as artist Hong Shu-ying, whose work is featured in ‘A Reservoir of Time‘. This session will be moderated by Leong Puiyee (Objectifs’ Programme Asst. Director) and Goh Chun-Aik (curator for ‘A Reservoir of Time‘)

As this event will be taking place in conjunction with ‘A Reservoir of Time‘, we highly recommend arriving before 7pm to have a chance to view the exhibition before attending the Film Club.

Click here to contribute to our pre-event audience response site for a chance to have your responses included in the pre- and post-screening discussions!
