The Asian Civilisations Museum has embarked on a comprehensive renewal of the museum.
On 21 November 2015, the museum will host Celebrating Asia, a gala fundraiser to launch two new wings.
-
The Kwek Hong Png Wing, featuring treasures from China; and the first in our series of contemporary installations, which we hope will inspire alternative ways of seeing our collections.
-
The river wing, with the Khoo Teck Puat Gallery, presenting the famed Tang Shipwreck.
Inspired by the unity of Singapore’s diverse cultures and history, our gala is using the colours of the Singapore flag to represent the intermingling of Asian cultures within one nation. Especially in this monumental year, we come together with all Singaporeans to remember our past and craft a future.
This exclusive event will be an evening of celebration with entertainment and culture interspersed throughout the museum. Funds raised will support future exhibitions and programmes that showcase masterpieces of Asian art. Tickets, priced at $1,000 each, are eligible for a tax deduction.
