Celebration: Wu Xueli, Fan Shao Hua, Wu Muli, and Li Shuji

Goshen Art Gallery is honoured to partner with Mercedes-Benz Singapore in showcasing some of the best original art pieces by four Asian artists. In “Celebration”, renowned artists Wu Xueli, Fan Shao Hua, Wu Muli and Li Shuji express their own interpretation of spring celebration using different techniques and mediums. The showcase starts from 1st January till 31st March 2016 at the Mercedes-Benz Center Singapore.

Wu Xue-li originates from Beijing and migrated to Singapore in 1991. She holds a master degree in the art of oil painting from LaSelle-SIA College of Arts in Singapore. With great depth and strong textures in her work of arts, you can see in her paintings a rhythm of musical poetry that intertwined the traditional and modern strokes.

Fan Shao Hua is a well-known artist who originates from Guangzhou, China. He exploits generously both the Chinese technique of ‘ink splash’ and ‘creased paper background’, and his artwork is where East meets West is evident in his creations. Fan has through the years won numerous art awards and held many exhibitions overseas – Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and Paris.

Prof. Wu Mu Li is a professional artist hired by the Cultural Ministry of the People’s Republic of China. His passion in Chinese Ink has driven him to pursue perfection in his unique style and composition in this traditional art form. Wu’s keen observation and deep appreciation of the vast nature and culture, enables him to translate his artistic creations with the distinctive strokes of a grand master. His traditional robust strokes integrated with modern ideas never fail to captivate his viewers with a sense of awe and admiration.

Li Shuji originates from Liaoning and graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, and pursued his further study in oil painting in Paris. Currently he is the National First-class Artist (China). Li has not only mastered the concept of traditional Chinese painting, but also constantly absorbed the essence of Chinese and Western artistic works and the pursued the national personality in his oil painting. He has combined the folk customs with local characteristics and created a series of distinctive personal style realist oil paintings.

Goshen Art Gallery has a rich heritage in art curation and as a passionate art collector. Bridging cultures, philosophies, beliefs and imagination through fine paintings, sculptures and art installations. The gallery believes in nurturing international talents by providing a platform for them to reach their audiences. Through this collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Singapore, the gallery aims to enrich the community with valuable art works and to be a trusted consultant for the art enthusiasts and collectors.
