Voices of Singapore (VOS) accounces the return of its community concert, “Concert of the People”, this May as a unique concert- singalong. Themed “In One Voice”, the outdoor concert will showcase all of VOS’ community choirs, inviting families to enjoy a concert in a casual setting in the heart of City Hall.
“Concert of the People: In One Voice” promises to be an evening filled with uplifting music and camaraderie as we bring together the seniors of VOS Silver Voices, the adults of VOS Community Chorus, and the special needs children of VOS Starlight Voices. Set against the iconic backdrop of Capitol Theatre, attendees are invited to unwind on picnic mats, savour their favourite snacks, and immerse themselves in the musical atmosphere.
Featuring a diverse repertoire of classics such as “You Raise Me Up” and “I Could Have Danced All Night”, as well as cultural gems like “Baba Yetu” and “Adiemus”, the concert offers something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you sit back and relax or join in the singalong, the Concert of the People extends a warm invitation to join and experience our singing communities.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM, allowing ticket holders to enjoy fringe activities such as a photo booth, memo wall, and complimentary food and drinks. The event will have free seating, and attendees are encouraged to bring their picnic mats to enjoy the performance with family and friends. Spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
