Art Agenda, S.E.A. is pleased to bring you Criterion, an evolving collection of modern and contemporary art that illustrates the key criteria of quality, provenance, condition and rarity that we look for in a collectable work of art.
The exhibition presents significant figures such as Chang Fee Ming, Chen Wen Hsi, Cheong Soo Pieng, Lim Tze Peng, Ruben Pang, Ahmad Osni Peii, Anthony Poon, Tan Choh Tee, Tay Chee Toh, Teng Ngee Cheong, Arthur Yap. Paying attention to depictions of cityscapes, waterbodies and indigenous scenes, this selection foregrounds the variety of mediums used by Southeast Asian artists to interpret their surroundings, including acrylic paint, albumen prints, aluminium composite panels, ink and oil paint, among others.
