Commissioned by the National Arts Council of Singapore, NAFA brings together the works of 38 Cultural Medallion recipients in the Visual Arts in a commemorative publication and exhibition. This momentous undertaking coincides with Singapore’s 50th anniversary and celebrates the nation’s most esteemed artists who are now rightly recognised as our cultural heroes. Conferred by the President of Singapore, the Cultural Medallion recognises artists of high merit, who have contributed to, enriched and shaped Singapore’s arts scene in a highly significant way. This prestigious exhibition includes works by illustrious artists of our time, such as painter Lim Tze Peng, ceramist Iskandar Jalil and performance artist, Lee Wen.
