Dandelion

Gardens by the Bay will be hosting one of multiple Dandelion installations as part of artist Ryotaro Muramatsu/NAKED’s global art initiative Breath / Bless Project, to promote connectivity and unity in times of separation and distance.

Dandelion is an interactive artwork that evokes the experience of making a wish on a dandelion. People can make a wish by scanning a QR code and pointing their phones at a sensor, which triggers the scattering of dandelion fluffs in a dazzling showcase before the fluffs are carried to another location to produce a new flower. The installation at Gardens by the Bay will interact in real-time with similar installations set up in multiple locations in Japan as well as on an online platform.
