Days of My Heaven is the first solo exhibition of Jaemin Lee in Singapore, featuring 28 new and recent paintings. The exhibition starts from various experiences and emotions of the artist living in Singapore as astranger. The artist captures everyday landscapes that are easily overlooked and yet emerge them into memories with special meanings and unique stories, while bringing them into personal stories in each work thoroughly. Lee’s works often feature children running with leaf umbrellas on rainy days and people who enjoy adrowsy afternoon after lunch, depicting the small moments and details of life. As such, Jaemin Lee looks at every little things with attention, and elevates the unfamiliar senses and new memories which she faces in her daily life to the practice of painting.
