
Democratising Innovation will feature three keynote speakers that delve into public sphere that is shaped by both state, policy, and technology.
Emily Chua (National University of Singapore) examines start-up cultures and how state-initiated efforts promote innovation among start-ups; Lina Dencik (Cardiff University) studies the ‘datafication’ of society and its disruption of justice; while Mahmud Farooque (Arizona State University) shares the development and operationalisation of programmes that respond to growing mistrust of the institution of science among the public.
This session is co-presented by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and The Substation and is part of an international conference, Interrogating Innovation.
