In conjunction with A Tapestry of Sacred Music and Baybeats

We experience spaces through sight and sound. The aural architecture of the tunnel is alive and changes with the audience; each person transmits sounds, which are then displaced (in sound) in fractions of a millisecond. Sound travels from section to section, and is reverberated through the entire space, forming a borderless territory that is a distorted and warped sum of all its parts.Dialog is a sound installation that challenges the ideas of territory, control, transmission and how we listen to the world. This exhibition comprises two looped compositions of interactive sounds triggered from solenoids (electromagnets that generate a controlled magnetic field) hitting on copper pipes of different lengths and thicknesses.

The second composition plays from 20 Jun till 10 Jul.
