Visual Arts Centre will be introducing a range of exciting new art courses this year, and one of them includes our Digital Drawing & Painting Course! Have you always wanted to learn the hows of digital painting but never got around to understanding the basics? Fear not as this course will cover the fundamentals of digital drawing and painting – Texture Design and Painting as well as Landscape Designing!

With a pen at hand, the world you can create is boundless. At the end of this course, you will be able to learn the basics of digital art by honing fundamental drawing skills such as understanding tonal values and shadings of a subject using digital software! Be ready to achieve interesting texture designs while developing three-dimensional drawings such as cubes, spheres, and cylinders from the digital tools used!

Stay excited and be prepared to explore creatively in the digital realm with the newly learnt skills!

Through digital art, you will not only be able to express yourself with digital creations, but also create works that are suitable for your portfolio submission to art schools or courses!

Learning outcomes:

Customise your own brushes and work with a variety of brushes.
Incorporate textures into you digital artwork.
Understand the basics of form by manipulating light and shadow. (Still life & Landscapes)
Capture space and atmosphere of a scene.
Think outside the box through a series of creative exercises.
